Cabanga Media Group is looking for three Magazine Editors for its business magazines in South Africa, Botswana, and Zambia, with responsibilities including:

1. Managing the editorial workflow for the publication, including assigning topics to writers, editing submissions, managing writer deadlines, and coordinating with art departments for cover design
2. Deciding on the cover story topic, cover model, photographer selections, and interview subjects
3. Coordinating with advertisers to place ads in the publication, ensuring that they meet legal requirements
4. Approving the design of the magazine pages, including selecting images and layouts or hiring a designer to make those decisions
5. Writing articles for the magazine, either as a lead author or in collaboration with other writers
6. Reviewing submissions from freelance writers to select those that will be used in the publication
7. Reviewing and editing articles for grammar, spelling, and factual errors before publication
8. Reporting on readership statistics to measure the effectiveness of each issue and adjusting future content accordingly

Requirements include:

1. Have a bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications or another business related field.
2. Have written business content that is published.
3. Understanding of Economic Commentary an added advantage.
